If you’ve been following this series, you’ve seen the personal side of my story and the why behind what I do. In Part 4, I broke down what it’s like to book and what to expect on session day.
So now let’s talk about the part people don’t always see:
What happens after you leave.
Because once the session is over, that’s when the behind-the-scenes work really starts.
First things first: your photos are safe
I know this matters, especially for seniors, sports, and baby sessions where you can’t just redo the moment.
I shoot with professional gear, and I come prepared (extra batteries, extra cards, backup camera, the whole deal). And once were done, my priority is keeping your images protected while I move into the editing process.
The behind-the-scenes part: culling (aka choosing the best)
After your session, I go through every image and pick the strongest ones.
This is where I’m looking for things like:
- The best expressions (the real smiles, not the forced ones)
- The sharpest images (especially important for sports)
- The moments that feel like you
- The little details you’ll be glad you have later
This part takes time, but it’s what makes your gallery feel intentional instead of overwhelming.
Editing: keeping you looking like you (just on your best day)
Here’s my editing promise:
I’m not here to make you look like a different person.
Editing is where I polish the image not the person.
That usually means:
- Correcting lighting and color so skin tones look natural
- Cleaning up distractions (the random stuff you don’t notice until it’s in a photo)
- Making sure the whole gallery feels consistent
- Light retouching where it makes sense (without making you look fake)
I take my time because I want your photos to feel like something you’re proud to share.

Turnaround time (so youre not sitting there wondering)
I never want you to be stuck thinking, “Did she forget about me?” because I promise I didn’t.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Most sessions: proof gallery within 1 weeks
- Weddings: 2 weeks
- Corporate clients: photos within 48 hours
If you’re on a tight deadline (graduation announcements, a last-minute schedule change, etc.), just tell me up front and well talk through options.
Sometimes Life Happens
I know how important your photos are, and I do everything in my power to meet the timelines I promise. But as much as I plan, sometimes life throws a curveball—whether it’s illness, family emergencies, or those unexpected “life punches” we all know too well. If something comes up that might delay your gallery, I’ll always communicate with you as soon as possible and keep you in the loop. I believe in honesty, and I’d never leave you wondering where your images are or if you’ve been forgotten.
Just know that every session is important to me, and I’ll always treat your memories with the care and attention they deserve—even if it takes a little longer than planned.
How you get your photos: Pass Gallery
When your images are ready, you’ll receive your gallery through a personal link that takes you directly to your gallery.
That means:
- You can view your images online
- You can choose your favorites
- You can download your high-resolution JPEGs
- You can share the gallery with family (without sending 400 screenshots)
Its simple, clean, and easy to use which is exactly how it should be.

Ordering + timing (dont let it sit forever)
Once your gallery is delivered, I recommend placing your order within 30 days.
Not because I’m trying to rush you but because life gets busy and I don’t want your photos to turn into one more thing on your to-do list.
Most clients love digital downloads (they’re the most popular), and prints are always an option too.
Real talk: if youre waiting to book because youre worried about the process
I get it.
A lot of people don’t book because there nervous till be complicated or they’re worried they won’t know what to do or they’ve had a bad experience before.
That’s why I’m so big on communication.
Ill guide you before, during, and after and I’ll keep it real the whole way.
If you’re thinking about photos message me and well plan it
Whether its senior photos, sports photos, or baby pictures you don’t have to have every detail figured out.
Just message me and well plan it. No pressure just a real conversation to figure out what fits you best.

Next in the series
In Part 6, I’m going to talk about how to prep for your session (what to bring, what to avoid, and how to show up feeling ready without overthinking it).
