As the year wraps up, I always find myself reflecting on the moments that made this journey so special—and dreaming about what’s coming next. 2025 was packed with laughter, growth, and a few surprises along the way. Here’s a peek at my favorite highlights from this year and a little glimpse at what’s on the horizon for Lilley Photography.

Favorite Moments of 2025

1. Real Connections with Families Every session this year reminded me why I love what I do. From giggling toddlers bundled up in winter gear to seniors celebrating their big milestones, I got to witness so many genuine smiles and family traditions. Those little moments—kids chasing snowflakes, parents sneaking a hug, or a family dog photobombing—are what it’s all about.

2. Community Events & Fundraisers Launching quarterly fundraisers was a huge step for me in 2025. Giving back to the community that supports me has been one of the most rewarding parts of my business. Photographing Canal Days Parade and other local events let me capture the heart of Wayne County and meet so many amazing people.

3. Growing in New Directions This year, I branched out—more corporate shoots, new partnerships (hello, Huddleston House!), and even more creative sessions. I loved the challenge of trying new things, learning as I go, and seeing my work evolve.

4. Behind the Scenes Moments Some of my favorite memories weren’t in front of the camera, but behind it. Late-night editing with Christmas music, coffee-fueled planning sessions, and those quiet moments packing up gear after a perfect shoot. These are the moments that remind me how far I’ve come.

5. Signing On My Studio! One of the biggest milestones of 2025 was officially signing on my studio space. Having a dedicated place to create, meet clients, and dream big has changed everything. It’s been a labor of love turning it into a welcoming spot for families, seniors, and anyone looking to capture special moments. Walking through those doors every day reminds me how much this business has grown—and how much more is possible.

What’s Next for 2026

• Expanding My Reach: I’m planning to serve a wider area—think more schools, more events, and hopefully, a few new cities!
• New Creative Projects: Stay tuned for fresh blog series, pop-up events, and maybe even some workshops for aspiring photographers.
• More Community Involvement: I want to keep supporting local groups, expand my fundraiser program, and find new ways to give back.
• Personal Growth: Better organization, new gear, and (maybe!) bringing on some help as the business grows.
